This is my plaster sculpture in which I'm turning it into geodes. This project is challenging because of lack of detail control. Overall, I think I will like the end product.
Watercolor Landscape
For my watercolor landscape I am doing a wooded and rocky canyon setting with a waterfall. The water at the bottom is supposed to look frozen because it's winter currently. I really enjoyed this project because watercolor is the reason I got into painting. I think the waterfall turned out good as well.
Watercolor Practice
This is my watercolor demo. We went through 12 categories of what techniques we could use. I liked the rice one the best just because it looked interesting. Overall, I enjoyed this activity.
Final Project: Portrait
Yay! The end of the semester is finally here! This is a portrait of Lady Gaga. This project was very challenging for many reasons. I used oil paint for the first time on this project and it turned out well, despite the drying time. I experimented with using the metal on top of the canvas to give it more of a 3D effect. The first picture is my reference photo, the second is a progress photo, and the rest are the finished product.
Metal Cuts
These are pictures of my final product of my metal cuts. I used patina and oil pastels to jazz up the overall outcome of the project. I really enjoyed the project and how it looked in the end.
Linocut Print/Paper Making
This print is of my mom and I at the zoo. I really liked how these turned out, this project was kind of messy though. The paper I made was a happy color so I thought it fit well. My favorite one is the one on the top left because of the colors.
Print Practice
This is my print practice using linocut. I did a triangle with an eye inside and then I used yellow and green ink. I thought this was pretty fun and I liked the creative aspect of it.
Portrait
This is my portrait using sketching pencils. The most difficult part about this particular assignment is the angle of her head. It ended up working out pretty nicely
Portrait Practice
This is my portrait practice for eyes, lips, noses, and ears. I thought that this was very fun and a great exercise leading up to the full portrait. Value was the most surprising part of the sketches because I was pretty satisfied with how that aspect turned out.
Sketch Book
This is my sketch book so far. The first image is my cover where I painted a Monarch butterfly. The second image is my first end page with watercolor flowers. The final image is my other endpage of a scenery using watercolor paint.
